Under Project Tejas – Educate • Inspire • Empower, a unique initiative titled Paryavaran ki Paathshala was organized to introduce children to the values of sustainability and environmental care. The aim was simple yet powerful: to create a space where young minds could learn about the environment in ways that felt engaging, creative, and memorable. • A Classroom of Colors and Conversations The session brought together children from the community, volunteers, and well-wishers who believe in the strength of education. Instead of lectures or books, the children were given drawing sheets and crayons. Through colors and sketches, they expressed what the Earth meant to them. Some drawings showed a flourishing green planet with trees, birds, and clean air, while others reflected the harsh reality of pollution and neglect. These artworks spoke volumes. They revealed not only the children’s imagination but also their understanding that our actions today will shape the world they inherit tomorrow. • Why Paryavaran ki Paathshala Matters Environmental awareness is often spoken about in meetings, classrooms, and campaigns — but rarely is it communicated to those who need it most: the younger generation growing up in underserved communities. By teaching through art and stories, this drive made environmental issues real and relatable. Studies have shown that children remember lessons better when they are linked with creativity. This was evident as the children proudly held up their drawings, explaining what a clean environment looks like and how each one of us can protect it. • A Community That Learns Together What made the day special was the sense of togetherness. Volunteers sat with the children, guiding them, listening to their questions, and learning in return. Parents and community members too became part of the discussions. Small but meaningful promises were made — to save water, reduce waste, avoid plastic, and plant more trees. Every child walked away not just with a drawing, but with a thought: the Earth is ours to protect. • Building the Future, One Session at a Time Paryavaran ki Paathshala is not a one-day event. It is the beginning of a journey to make sustainability a natural part of children’s learning. Under Project Tejas, the goal is to continue creating such platforms where education is not confined to books but is connected to life, responsibility, and action. With every session, every conversation, and every drawing, we are moving closer to a community that is not only educated but also inspired and empowered to protect the world around them.
